The Fellowship is six months long and takes three stages:
Teaching Stage
- This will be six weeks spent learning about DeSci, blockchain/web3, and adjacent tech (zK, AI).
- You will be allocated into a small group (6 to 10 people) and meet every week for three hours.
- Self-directed learning is a core component of the fellowship**,** so we won’t have “university style lecture” content. There will be a facilitator in attendance at each weekly session to help guide the group learning.
- There will also be mentors giving talks each week with a lot of time for QnA (this will be remote and fall outside of the weekly three-hour meetings). Attendance is not strictly mandatory but highly recommended.
- Each week will involve learning around 10 learning objectives. It is expected that you will need around 8-10 hours of self-directed learning each week.
- You will be expected to do a short presentation each week (5 min talk with 5 min for QnA) on specific learning objectives that are allocated to you. The goal is to teach your peers about a topic you will have spent longer time researching. This won't be recorded and the only audience will be your group and facilitator. This presentation does not need to be talk/slides, you can be as creative as you want!
- To progress to the next stage, it is mandatory that you have attended the six weekly sessions.
Project Ideation Stage
- You will spend two weeks finalising what project you wish to work on.
- There will be no set times to meet so this will be up to you and those involved in the team.
Building Stage
- You will spend the next four months building and hacking on your project.
- Again, no set times, and it's up to the team to determine coordination logistics (time required, meetings, milestones, etc).
Demo Day
- This will culminate in a demo day where you will present your project publicly to an audience of scientists, web3 developers and investors.
